Brooklyn Marissa Bordeaux Van der Mark was never the girl to be up early and make it where she was supposed to be going on time, and money had always helped her out. She definitely was not one too wake up and get to classes, but she had always made it there within a minute of the bell ringing, allowing her to be there on time. She had her routine, she would leisurely wake up and jump in the shower and once she was done she had learned how to straighten her hair and put on make-up at the same time after putting on the clothes she had chosen the night before, which usually consisted of a skirt an whatever shirt she thought would look good with it. Brooklyn had her system.
This morning she had woken up, her dark brown hair in a mess around her as she rolled out of bed and went to take her usual ten minute shower, without even looking at the clock when she woke up, because she usually woke up at the same time. Once she was out she picked up her black Max Azria Skirt and a plain white tank top and a long gray cardigan. Brooklyn looked over the outfit once and walked back to her hair straightener and make-up that was in front of her mirror. She ran her fingers through her long brown locks and glanced out the window to see it was a little earlier than she was usually up, and then she glanced down to see she had over a half hour of time she never had before, so she chose to take her time on her hair and her make-up.
Finally once finished Brooklyn looked over herself, looking for a long moment at her legs, unimpressed by the way they looked, but she had to settle, she just wouldn't eat. Brooklyn finally put on shoes and she headed for the door to her dorm and walked out, looking through the halls to see other students walking out, which rarely happened for her because she was so late, but today she was early and she would actually have time when she got inside the main buildings to reach reach her locker and have time to stand around and socialize before classes. Finally Brooklyn was out of the building heading to the main buildings for her first period class, and she headed for her locker.
The hallways were packed as they usually were, and Brooklyn was rarely there when everyone was showing up, she preferred to be so close to being late that she walked in and then the bell would ring. Brooklyn walked through the hallways, brushing past all the people she didn't care about as she made her way to her locker, turning the dial until it clicked open, where she was able to retrieve her books and look at the one mirror she had placed inside, which was the only thing she had ever put inside it other than school things. She looked at the way her dark hair fell over her shoulders and at her eye make-up at she was hoping would conceal her constant large bug eyes, and she stood there for a moment, simply looking at how great she looked, even if she was still picking out things that were wrong with her appearance.
